Already we know that the Indonesian experience "dependence" with carbohydrates, especially rice. If they've been eating rice, it was not eaten.

However, we also know that carbohydrates are made of flour, which is converted by the body into sugar when digested. Rice, pasta, bread, potatoes and other starchy vegetables are some of them. Even so, does not mean we have to eliminate carbs from our daily intake. More wisely if we choose a more healthy type of carbohydrate. EHow give some tips to choose healthy carbohydrates:

1. Replace carbohydrates made from white flour with whole wheat flour, for example, bread made from whole wheat. Whole wheat contains higher fiber, and reduced carbohydrate reserves in the body.

2. Replace pasta usually with a paste of whole wheat or spinach, to get a healthy intake. Pasta of this type can also be really tasty when mixed with your favorite sauce.

3. Replace the potatoes with other vegetables if possible. Choose healthy carbohydrates such as cauliflower, turnip (turnip), jicama, and celery root. Boil vegetables, soften, and season, so it felt good. Even so, no need to stop the consumption of potatoes at all, because the potato is also a good carbohydrate when consumed in moderation.

4. Eat fresh fruit as part of a healthy diet. Select fresh fruit in season, to enjoy the best taste. Fresh fruit contains vitamins essential for health, besides containing a high fiber content. If not available fresh fruit, frozen fruit that is not processed with sugar (like sweets) can also be an option.

5. Add fresh vegetables in your diet. Vegetables are also a healthy carbohydrate, because it contains fiber and vitamins. Vegetables can provide more vitamins if consumed in a raw state, or steamed.

6. Add beans, because these foods are an important source of protein that the body needs. Nuts are also high in healthy carbohydrates that contain fiber, which is necessary for digestive health. Most of the vegetaian use nuts as a main source of protein.
