Diabetes mellitus or diabetes has become a global health problem. The number of patients with this disease continues to increase dramatically, including in Indonesia. One of the prevention efforts that can be done is setting a good diet.

Consumption of food high in fiber succeeded in reducing the risk of diabetes because it can lower blood sugar and insulin levels and reduce the risk of progression of poor glucose tolerance in type 2 diabetes.

As with intact Cereal, brown rice is also rich in fiber and energy production in stages or also known as having a low glycemic index. Therefore, experts are calling for 70 percent met the needs of our carbohydrates from brown rice or whole Cereal.
